Joss is the owner of this site and is responsible for most of the penmanship and keeps tabs on the various furry animals who contribute there share. Joss tried to avoid being scary.

What's all this then?

This site has been many things over the years; a political blog, a portal for business, a dead thing for emails. I thought it high time that it became something else. And there is little closer to my heart than food.

So, here are my favourite recipes, the places I like to eat, the politics of food, ingredients, companies - anything to do with food that I want to write about. Enjoy!

Ipod, Hoover and Selotape

The BBC have over the years had a policy which forbade the use of the terms Hoover and Selotape, preferring to use Vacuum Cleaner and Sticky back plastic tape, because it would be seen to promote these products. And quite right too.

So, why do they insist on calling downloadable material "Podcasts"?

This term was invented by Apple Specifically to promote the IPod.
